Primary Montessori Classroom Lead

Stepping Stones Montessori School in East Lansing seeks a Montessori Certified Primary Lead Guide to join our community for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willing to partner with parents and collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide a nurturing authentic Montessori program for students.The Lead Guide will contribute to the warm, supportive atmosphere of our school.

About Stepping Stones Montessori in East Lansing: Founded 36 years ago, we affiliate with the American Montessori Society, abiding by high standards of teacher training and programming. We are a community school, serving East Lansing, families of Michigan State University staff, and the greater Lansing community. We serve children 18 months- 12 years of age. We have a total student population averaging 85 students per year. We are located a few blocks north of the campus of Michigan State University, in the Bailey neighborhood of East Lansing.

Required Qualifications:

Montessori certified or in process of becoming Montessori certified. Fully supports, in word and deed, the Montessori philosophy and programming.

Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or alternative approved by the Head of School.

Meets or exceeds all state licensing requirements for the position.

Current health/TB screening – CPR/First Aid Certification

Authorization to work in the US

Meets physical requirements to perform all job duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $32,000.00 per year

Montessori Classroom Assistant

Montessori Classroom Assistant. Part-Time

Stepping Stones Montessori School in East Lansing seeks a Montessori Toddler Classroom Assistant to join our community for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The ideal candidate will be a person who has experience and enjoys working with young children (18 mos. – 3  years old) and is eager to collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide a nurturing authentic Montessori program for students. The Assistant will contribute to the warm, supportive atmosphere of our school. We provide training.
